Who runs EVMoose
EVMoose is an independent Canadian site. It is built and maintained independently, and it is not owned by or affiliated with any automaker, dealer, media group or government program.
What the site does
- Lets you search, filter and compare EVs side by side in the comparison tool.
- Shows Canadian MSRP, rated range (Natural Resources Canada's official rating where we can match it), an estimated winter range, peak DC charging speed and an estimated 10-80% charge time.
- Shows federal EVAP rebate status for each trim: on the list, may qualify, not eligible or not verified. Our EVAP guide explains the rules.
- Publishes a page for every model and best-of lists, such as cheapest EVs and best winter range.
Our methodology explains where every number comes from, which ones are estimates, and how often we check them.
What the site doesn't do
- We don't sell cars, take deposits or pass your details to dealers. There is no sign-up.
- We don't apply rebates. The dealer applies EVAP at sale.
- We don't road-test cars. Winter range and charge times are estimates from simple formulas.
Specs, prices and incentives change. Always confirm with the maker or dealer before you buy.
Independence
There are no paid placements in our data or rankings. No one pays to be listed, ranked or featured, and lists are sorted by the data, using the same rules for every brand.
Our numbers start from our own master spreadsheet of EVs sold in Canada and are checked against public sources: Natural Resources Canada's range ratings, Transport Canada's EVAP vehicle list, makers' Canadian websites and other published sources. When we check a trim against a source, we record the link and the date. The methodology has the details, including which numbers are our own estimates.
If we ever add partner or affiliate links, they will be clearly labelled, and they will never change a car's data or its place in a list.
Privacy
EVMoose has no accounts. Your saved cars, compare list and settings stay in your own browser. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless, to count page views. Full details are on our privacy page.
